MINT CHOCOLATE BROWNIES

Mint Chocolate Brownies

Mint chocolate brownies are a variation of traditional brownies that include mint chocolate chips or mint flavoring in the batter. The result is a rich, chocolatey dessert with a hint of mint flavor. These brownies can also be topped with a mint chocolate frosting for added mint flavor. They are a delicious and unique twist on classic brownies.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
  • 4 oz unsweetened chocolate, chopped
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup mint chocolate chips

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter and unsweetened chocolate over low heat, stirring occasionally until smooth. Remove from heat and let cool.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Stir in the cooled chocolate mixture.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour and salt. Slowly add the flour mixture to the chocolate mixture and stir until just combined.
  5. Fold in the mint chocolate chips.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Let the brownies cool in the pan for 10 minutes before removing them from the pan to cool completely on a wire rack.
  9. Once cooled, cut into squares and serve. Enjoy your mint chocolate brownies!
Note: you can also make a frosting with powdered sugar, butter, and peppermint extract to add on top.
